The newest addition to the Fraser Island Boat Charters fleet launches in time for summer adventures around Fraser Island.
‘Indigo’, a Seawind 1000 catamaran is an entry level sailing boat sleeping between six and eight people across four cabins.
The 10 metre long boat features two showers, a tender for beach stopovers, BBQ and a fully equipped kitchen to ensure full comfort and enjoyment. All bedding and towels are provided, along with a welcome food platter.
No need for a boating licence as full training is provided before sailing away for the self skippering option.
Launched in July 2019, the luxury catamaran ‘Cattitude’ is another sailing option to hire. The 42 foot long vessel sleeps up to ten people across five cabins with all modern comforts.
“Sit back and relax with a glass of bubbles in hand as you sail calm waters with a stellar view of the world’s largest sand island,” said Fraser Island Boat Charters owner Scott Whitcombe.
Both vessels offer skippered as well as self skippering hires. Referred to as bareboat charter, self skippering means you can explore all of the hidden gems of Fraser Island at your own pace, said Scott.
“Although you’ll be crew, it isn’t necessary for you to be a qualified skipper or have any boat qualifications. Don’t be afraid if you have no experience, you’ll be provided with a briefing from a fully qualified commercial skipper to make sure you know the

ins and outs of the vessel and navigating our beautiful waters before you set sail,” said Scott.
“Just bring your bags and essential gear and we’ll sort the rest for you!”
Skippered charters are also available onboard the 58 foot ‘Freedom III’ for three to seven nights.
This vessel comes complete with a large saloon, full galley kitchen and three toilets. Delicious gourmet morning and afternoon tea, lunch, dinner and breakfast are provided each day.
“Bring the family or your mates for one hell of a water based adventure!”

“Our main goal is to build the Fraser Coast region as a top sailing destination for visitors, with conditions on par if not better than the sailing that is found on the Whitsundays in Northern Queensland,” said business co-owner Stephanie Foster.
