Hervey Bay, QLD: It’s time to get together and celebrate the successes in our community. Our community is constantly exposed to negative stories and sometimes the stories of success get lost.
We want to celebrate those who have overcome obstacles and recognise the local women, men and children who have overcome struggles to rebuild their lives.
Centacare and the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre want to help you share your positive stories through our ‘Let’s Change Our Ending’ photo exhibition.
We invite all members of the community to submit photographs that tell the positive stories in our community – stories of resilience, strength and unity in our towns.
The exhibition will open to the public on the 25th of June from 10am. Community members will be invited to come and vote for their favourite photo and story and there will be a range of activities for everyone to enjoy.
Activities will include:
- Making dream catchers
- Creating positive postcards
- Rock painting
- Positive message wall
Competition entry is free and open to Fraser Coast residents of all ages. Entries can be dropped off at Stockland Shopping Centre, in the food court area, on the 23rd and 24th of June between 10am and 2pm.
There will be three prizes, decided by a panel of judges and awarded on the 10th of July once community choice voting is complete.
These prizes will be in the form of Fraser Coast Gift Cards to the value of $500, $250 and $100.
