An uplifting experience

The Big Sing is making its debut in Maryborough in 2024, bringing a wave of excitement and community spirit to the region. This event, hosted by Bridges Health & Community Care, offers an evening of musical joy and togetherness, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being through the power of song.

Led by the energetic and talented Christie Maree Jacobsen and her band, participants will have the chance to learn and perform a contemporary hit in a three-part harmony. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or someone who simply enjoys a good singalong, The Big Sing is open to all, regardless of experience. The event is designed to bring people together—friends, family, and colleagues alike—for a shared experience that celebrates community connection and the therapeutic benefits of music.

Singing has been proven to reduce stress, elevate mood, and foster a sense of belonging, making The Big Sing the prelude to Queensland Mental Health Week. This inclusive event, held at the iconic Brolga Theatre, promises to be a night filled with laughter, harmony, and an overwhelming sense of togetherness.

“You will certainly walk away feeling uplifted from this experience,” said Bridges CEO Sharon Sarah. “This event embodies our commitment to promoting mental wellbeing through creative expression, and I’m excited about the positive impact it will have on our region.”

For more information and to get involved, follow Bridges Health & Community Care on social media and grab your tickets through the Brolga Theatre. Big Sing 2024 T-shirts will be available to purchase on the night for only $30, raising funds to extend the arts-led wellbeing programs of Bridges.

Let’s make The Big Sing 2024 an event to remember!
