Between the COVID 19 pandemic and recent floods, weddings and related businesses on the Fraser Coast have taken a battering.
Hopefully, now with the worst behind us, an enthusiastic group of local wedding industry professionals has followed on from previous expos (which were held at PCYC) and formed the Fraser Coast Wedding Industry Association Inc.
Its first major objective has been to organise and present the “Wedding Industry Showcase – Fraser Coast.” on Sunday, May 15th at the Star of the Sea School Hall, Hughes Rd, Torquay.
This not-for-profit event will display a wide variety of local businesses, services, products, accommodation, and activities available for all aspects of weddings. The Committee has also tried to cater to a diversity of budgets, covering aspects from the most informal, simple weddings, through to the more traditional or formal celebrations. For prospective brides, bridal parties, and guests, the showcase will offer much; from the lead-up to the big day itself, the honeymoon period, and beyond.
Expert advice will be available from a number of sources represented at the venue; some being recent winners of Brides Choice Awards within the Fraser Coast as well as Australian Wedding Industry Awards.
With over half the exhibitor sites already booked, and several hundred visitors expected on the day, this event will be invaluable for all participants.
Admission to the public is free and there will be a door prize and giveaways on the day.
