The Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum is pleased to announce another great Antiques & Collectables Fair, to be held on Saturday, May 19. Starting at 9.30am and continuing until 4.30pm, the day will be action packed with something of interest for everyone. On the day you will be able to…..

Bring along your “treasures” and have them valued/assessed by Valuers, free of charge! China, glassware, old photographs, books, coins/notes, tools, interesting oddities, clothes, in fact any old item of interest! There will be a limit of 4 items per person! Experts will be on site to give you an estimate of value, identify articles and give advice for preservation/restoration etc. Mr. Craig Winter, an expert Valuer will be on hand for most general items, the Hervey Bay Gem Club will assess your valuables and have items for sale and all photographic related items will be examined by long time Professional Photographer and Museum President, Mr. Nigel Kilpatrick.

Book a stall and sell your items to eager buyers. Remember, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!!! you can turn your “clutter” into cash!

This is NOT a flea market and is restricted to antiques, collectables and oddities. New mass produced commercial items and food are not allowed. See below for booking details.

Join in a “Treasures of the Museum” conducted tour being run throughout the day. Join a group with an expert Museum Volunteer and see and learn about many of the historic items on display such as the push bike that has been ridden over 200,000kms around the World, the story of Uranganite and the unique wheel barrow, the relics from the Maheno plus countless other special exhibits.

Museum Buildings and displays will be open all day. Be sure to see the newly opened Fire Station, Barber Shop and Cobblers Displays. As well, there will be live demonstrations including historic photos slideshows, rope making, corn displays and a working blacksmith! There are plenty of great photo opportunities so bring along your camera.

Children can also enjoy old time games, free tractor rides and experience the thrill of writing on slates in the Nationally Registered Dundowran School!

Hot and cold food, drinks and refreshments available throughout day.

Admission Charges on the Day:

Adults $10

Children under 14 – FREE.
